Arsenal and Chelsea target Aubameyang wants move to 'top club'
FRENCH giants Paris Saint-Germain are the latest club to join the race for Ligue 1 hitman Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang after he admitted he was 'ready to join a top club'.
Chelsea, Arsenal and most recently Newcastle United have been linked with moves for Aubameyang, with Magpies owner Mike Ashley reportedly seen in the stands during St-Etienne's 2-2 draw with PSG last night.
But before the game, Aubameyang threw doubt over his speculated switch to the Premier League this summer, by admitting his interest in the a transfer to Paris.
According to French news paper Le Parisien, the Gabon international also confirmed his intention to move to a bigger club.
"I am ready to join a top club," said Aubameyang.
"PSG? Of course an eventual offer would be interesting, but I don't know if they are really tracking me, we'll see.
"In any case, it would be nice to play next to Ibrahimovic."
Ibrahimovic has been linked with a departure from PSG in recent weeks, but the oil-rich French club could look to bring in Aubameyang to supplement the Swede in their attack or replace him.
Aubameyang trails Ibrahimovic in the Ligue 1 top scorers chart, having struck 16 times this season for St-Etienne while the Swede has found the net 25 times.
But the 23-year-old is the man in form, having scored eight goals in as many games and attracting interest from teams in France and abroad.
