Blackburn get Wigan's David Jones on emergency loan
BLACKBURN have snapped up Wigan's David Jones on an emergency loan until the end of the season.
Jones had been reduced to a bit-part role with the Latics, making just 35 appearances since 2011.
He made an immediate impact for Rovers, scoring on his home debut although he was unable to prevent his new team falling to defeat.
And Jones is looking forward to making a mark at Ewood Park, telling Rovers' official website: "I'm delighted to be here, Blackburn is a massive club.
"I want to come here and make an impact so I'm really looking forward to it.

"I thought my opportunities would be limited at Wigan for the remainder of the season and this chance arose so I wanted to take it.
"It is a good team and one that I want to try and get in and do well.
"It has been doing well recently, there are a lot of quality players the football club and hopefully there'll be opportunities for me to come in and help the football club achieve their aim this season."
