West Ham boss Sam Allardyce confirms interest in Wigan's Maynor Figueroa
WEST HAM manager Sam Allardyce is keeping tabs on Wigan's Maynor Figueroa with a view to signing him in the summer.
Figueroa is out of contract at the end of the season, and has attracted interest from the Hammers who are keen to strengthen their squad.
Allardyce tracked Blackburn's Martin Olsson, but was unable to strike a deal for him in the January transfer window.
But they may struggle to land him if they don't secure their Premier League status for next season.
Allardyce told the Newham Recorder: "What we would be looking at is any player that might be available in the summer, if we stay in this league.

“When you look at what he’s done at Wigan – and like everyone else he’s refused to sign a contract – there will be a lot of clubs interested in him.
“We would be one of those clubs if that’s the case."
The Hammers have done business with Wigan before, having nabbed Mohamed Diame last summer.
