Charlton 0 - Nottingham Forest 2: Forest fire flares again
BILLY DAVIES’ triumphant return to Forest continued with a win over 10-man Charlton.
Our confidence is growing, the spirit’s good and we will give it our best shot.
Forest have gone four unbeaten since he returned as boss and this win followed a 6-1 rout of Huddersfield.
It was made easier for them when Charlton lost striker Yann Kermorgant to a straight red card eight minutes before the break for kicking Greg Halford. ‘‘Definitely a red, Yann was in a red mist,’’ said brutally honest Charlton boss Chris Powell.
Forest utilised the extra space and Radoslaw Majewski scored in the 53rd minute, with Henri Lansbury adding a second.
Davies said: ‘‘Our confidence is growing, the spirit’s good and we will give it our best shot.’’
