Leon Britton is ready for Swansea cup glory
LEON BRITTON says there will be no complacency from Swansea in the Capital One Cup final due to their lower-league roots.
The Premier League side will start Sunday’s Wembley clash against League Two giant-killers Bradford as red-hot favourites.
Britton, 30, said: “A lot of the boys have played lower-league football. It’s tough. We’ll know what to expect so, for the lads who might not be so sure, we’ll give them a reminder.”
A decade ago, Britton, then on loan from West Ham, turned out for Swansea, who only survived in League Two on the final day of the season.
Britton said: “ Cup results this season have shown that anything can happen , there’s no way we’ll be complacent.
“I’m really looking forward to it, the first major cup final in the club’s history. ”
