Beware of Christian Benteke, warns Sam Allardyce
WEST HAM manager Sam Allardyce will be wary of the threat from Aston Villa’s Christian Benteke at Villa Park today.
One shining light for struggling Villa has been the Belgian Benteke, a £7million recruit from Genk.
He’s the biggest threat and holds the ball up. He’s strong. It says a lot when he’s producing what he is in a team that’s been struggling
The 22-year-old has scored 10 Premier League goals and Allardyce said: “He’s the biggest threat and holds the ball up. He’s strong. It says a lot when he’s producing what he is in a team that’s been struggling.”
Allardyce will not underestimate today’s hosts: “There is nothing wrong at Aston Villa with the effort and will to try and win.”
