Sunderland snap up £5m Danny Graham
SUNDERLAND signed Swansea City striker Danny Graham for £5million on a three-and-a-half-year contract.
Graham was jeered after coming on as a substitute in Tuesday’s 0-0 stalemate between Sunderland and Swansea, because he grew up on Tyneside as a Newcastle fan.
He said: “I was born and brought up in the North-east so I know first-hand the intense passion that people have for their football in this part of the world.
“It’s special and there’s nowhere else like it.”
Striker Louis Saha has left Sunderland, while Ahmed Elmohamady has rejoined Hull on loan until the end of the season.
