Manchester United weigh up move for Julio Cesar
MANCHESTER UNITED are considering a move for QPR shot stopper Julio Cesar.
The Red Devils are growing tired of David de Gea’s error-strewn performances and have been drawing up a list of potential targets.
Barcelona’s Victor Valdes and Liverpool’s Pepe Reina have been sounded for moves to Old Trafford, but Cesar has now caught the eye of United boss Sir Alex Ferguson.
They do however face competition for Cesar’s signature from the Gunners, who are determined to find an experienced No1 as doubts linger over their Polish keeper Wojciech Szczesny.
According to Brazilian paper Globo Esporte, United are keen on Cesar, and QPR want to cut their wage bill which could pave the way for a move.
They also note that Cesar was a target for Real Madrid before they signed Sevilla’s Diego Lopez as cover for the injured Iker Casillas.
Cesar has conceded 21 goals for the Hoops this season, who are marooned at the bottom of the Premier League.
