Charlton 1 - Sheff Wednesday 2: Slick Leroy Lita a debut hero
LEROY LITA came off the bench to mark his Sheffield Wednesday debut with a dramatic late winner.
Charlton were on course for a fourth straight win thanks to Johnnie Jackson’s 47th-minute strike.
But Reda Johnson, guilty of an earlier open goal miss, headed home an equaliser with six minutes left to set the stage for Lita, who had only just joined on loan from Swansea.
His deflected shot from the edge of the box, after a fine run by Jermaine Johnson, clinched it for the Owls.
It's a great start for Leroy – we only met him at the hotel at eight o'clock on Friday night
Delighted Owls boss Dave Jones said: "It's a great start for Leroy – we only met him at the hotel at eight o'clock on Friday night.
‘‘It's nice for a player to come into a club and score on their debut, and it happened to be the winner so he'll be a hero to our fans now.’’
