Nottingham Forest 0 - Watford 3: Matej Vydra all set for the top
GOAL machine Matej Vydra can carry on shooting Watford towards the Premier League despite a queue of clubs keen to offer him a short cut to the top flight.
Vydra fired his 17th and 18th goals in only 24 Championship outings to lift the Hornets up to third spot.
But boss Gianfranco Zola can sleep easily, knowing the Czech striker – on loan from Udinese – is not going anywhere as the Pozzo family own both clubs and can reject any offers before Thursday’s transfer deadline.
Vydra began the onslaught by tapping home Troy Deeney’s pull-back, then laid on a goal for his strike partner before scoring again.
We were woeful and the players agree with that
Forest were booed off and boss Alex McLeish said: “We were woeful and the players agree with that.’’
