Blackburn Rovers 3 - Nottingham Forest 0: Gary Bowyer has a hint
GARY BOWYER appeared reluctant to state his case for the Blackburn job despite leading managerless Rovers to a second win under his temporary command.
Reserve team coach Bowyer has been asked to take charge while the club’s owners look to find a permanent successor after Henning Berg was sacked last week.
Rovers had planned to unveil their new manager yesterday but global adviser Shebby Singh was still locked in talks with the owners last night.
Am I considering the job? I’ll just keep going and see where it takes us
Former Aston Villa coach Kevin MacDonald has been linked, along with ex-England Under-21 manager Peter Taylor. But Bowyer, whose only spell as a manager came with non-League Carshalton Athletic, is doing himself no harm.
“Am I considering the job? I’ll just keep going and see where it takes us,” said Bowyer, after goals by Ruben Rochina, Jordan Rhodes and Colin Kazim-Richards had earned Blackburn this well deserved success.
