Liverpool to miss out on transfer target Nolito
LIVERPOOL’s hopes of signing transfer target Nolito in January are fading.
The Benfica forward has been on Liverpool’s radar for some time, with West Ham and Fulham also queuing up for his signature.
Liverpool are in the market for a striker, as they look to take the burden off Luis Suarez, who has already netted 13 goals in all competitions this season.
But Spanish outfit Granada CF appear to be in pole position to scupper such a move.
Spanish football site InsideSpanishfootball.com reports that Granada have a good relationship with Benfica and Nolito’s move would initially be on a loan basis.
Nolito has struggled to make an impression, with most of his appearances coming from off the subs bench.
The Spaniard is also going through a bit of a goal drought, having failed to score in any of his last seven games.
