Nottingham Forest 2 - Burnley 0: Forest's hot double act
DEXTER BLACKSTOCK and Billy Sharp proved Forest can play two strikers after all.
Boss Sean O’Driscoll had dropped Blackstock to the bench for last week’s defeat to Hull in order to play five in midfield.
That move drew criticism from City Ground supporters but Blackstock returned with a bang – looping in a 59th-minute header from Andy Reid’s cross. Strike pal Sharp followed suit by slotting home from Reid’s pass 14 minutes from time.
Burnley boss Sean Dyche complained of a foul on Jason Shackell before Blackstock’s goal and O’Driscoll conceded: “I think I would have been unhappy with it as well.
‘‘There’s contact and the referee’s got to say if it’s illegal but Dexter’s made a living scoring that way.’’
