Christian Eriksen paves way for Tottenham move as contract talks break down
CHRISTIAN ERIKSEN could be bound for White Hart Lane in January after snubbing Ajax’s efforts to discuss a new contract.
The Denmark international has been a loyal servant to the Dutch outfit since joining in 2009, but he appears to be ready for pastures new.
Spurs face a tussle to land their man with Manchester United also reportedly interested.
Ajax’s sporting director, Marc Overmars said: “We want Christian to sign a new deal, but he is not interested.
“We do have talks planned with him and his agent, so we will have to see what happens in December.”
Ajax are expected to play hard ball, as they are reluctant to sell one of their star players.
Eriksen has made clubs sit up and take notice, especially after a terrific performance during his side’s 3-1 victory over Manchester City in the Champions League group stages.

The midfielder’s contract expires in 2014.
