Huddersfield 2 - Wolves 1: Jermaine Beckford hits 100 mark
JERMAINE BECKFORD made sure his 100th league goal was something special as Wolves failed to banish their Huddersfield hoodoo.
James Vaughan led the way as the Terriers terrorised the visitors’ defence, heading home Jack Hunt’s superb cross after 10 minutes.
And Beckford then fired in spectacular bicycle kick that ripped past keeper Carl Ikeme.
Sylvan Ebanks-Blake pulled one back for Wolves on 63 minutes with his sixth goal this season but it was not enough.
Huddersfield moved above Wolves into third place and boss Simon Grayson said: “We made them look ordinary in the first half.”
Wolves manager Stale Solbakken said: “Huddersfield really punished us with two class finishes.’’
