Liverpool targeting Galatasaray star striker Burak Yilmaz
BRENDAN Rodgers is reportedly plotting to target top Galatasaray hitman Burak Yilmaz.
According to reports, the Liverpool boss is set to make a bid for the Turkish striker in the January transfer window.
Yilmaz, who was reportedly also the subject of interest from West Ham and Tottenham, scored an incredible 33 goals last term.
The 27-year-old has enjoyed a flying start to life at his new club, and Rodgers was apparently left impressed after the ace bagged five goals in six league appearances.
Yilmaz could now be on his way to Anfield, with Rodgers in desperate need of adding to his misfiring squad.
Luis Suarez has been amongst the goals this season, scoring seven in all competitions for the Merseysiders.
Burak Yilmaz scored 33 goals last term
Fabio Borini however, has only scored one in ten appearances since his £10.5 million move from Roma in the summer.
Having netted just nine goals in the Premier League so far this season, Liverpool find themselves in 14th place and in need of a steady striker like Yilmaz, who is valued at around £13million, according to reports.
