Derby 2 - Sheffield Wednesday 2: Derby see Reda Johnson in end
REDA JOHNSON had the Owls soaring by capping a brilliant Wednesday fightback.
Derby strolled into a 2-0 lead in just 25 minutes. But Dave Jones’ men roared back and earned their reward on 89 minutes when Johnson headed home from close range.
Nathan Tyson cleverly brought down a cross and slotted home the opener past Chris Kirkland.
Then Jake Buxton dived to head home Paul Coutts’ cross. But Chris O’Grady hit a stunning left-foot curler into the top corner.
Wednesday sub Gary Madine rose to reach Lewis Buxton’s cross and Johnson nodded home.
Derby boss Nigel Clough said: “We thought we’d done enough to hang on.”
Jones said: “We should’ve won it in the end.”
