Huddersfield 1 - MK Dons 2: All Rhodes to Wembley
JORDAN RHODES scored his 40th goal of a memorable season as Huddersfield clinched their first Wembley trip for 17 years.
Town’s in-demand top scorer pounced in the 18th minute to put Simon Grayson’s men on the way to an all-Yorkshire clash with Sheffield United on May 26 – even though MK Dons came back and won the match on the night thanks to a late goal from Alan Smith.
Scotland Under-21 striker Rhodes impressed a host of watching Premier League scouts by adding to Town’s two-goal first-leg cushion as they hung on to make it back-to-back League One play-off finals.
MK Dons fell behind as Danny Ward flicked on Jack Hunt’s free-kick for Rhodes to confidently beat keeper David Martin from 10 yards for his landmark goal.

MK Dons deservedly levelled six minutes before half-time. Substitute home keeper Alex Smithies, who replaced injured Ian Bennett, was beaten by Daniel Powell’s fierce low shot from 18 yards.
MK Dons then had a Charlie MacDonald penalty claim waved away, before Smith’s header gave them late hope in stoppage time – but it was just not enough.
