Mark Hughes focuses on the beautiful game now the transfer window is closed
MARK HUGHES admits he will be relieved to put transfers aside and focus on football tonight against the club he was linked with last summer.
Hughes has been busy bolstering his QPR squad and now knows the players he is relying on to drag them out of relegation trouble, starting with facing Aston Villa.
“When the window closes people know exactly what they have to work with until the end of the season, and they can get on with it,” said Hughes, who insists he never made contact with Villa when Gerard Houllier left them and he walked out on Fulham.

“Aston Villa is a good job for any manager, but I was never in the frame for that,” said Hughes. But he knows all about Villa’s stars after working with Shay Given and Co at Manchester City.
QPR’s former Villa full-back Luke Young said: “I enjoyed my time there but my focus is very much on us getting a positive result.”
