Brendan Rodgers turns down Irish FA
BRENDAN Rodgers has turned down the chance to be the part-time manager of his native Northern Ireland.
Swansea boss Rodgers had been approached by the Irish FA to replace Nigel Worthington, who left in October.
But he declined the offer, insisting this is not the right time to move into international football.
Swansea are set to reignite their bid for Middlesbrough centre-back Matthew Bates.
