Watford 0 Derby 1: Hornets believe
Watford 0 Derby 1
ADRIAN MARIAPPA expects Watford to put in a string of good performances despite being stunned at Vicarage Road.
Steven Davies hit the winner for Derby, even though Watford dominated, to leave new boss Sean Dyche without a league win.
But Mariappa predicts greater things under the new regime and said: “The new boys have added a lot of quality to the side, as well as experience, and the fans will start to see a lot more of that throughout the season.
“We created enough chances to get something from the game, but that’s the thing about football – you can be on top for most of the game but it doesn’t guarantee you the points.”
Former England Under-21 keeper Frank Fielding foiled Marvin Sordell no less than three times and made a stunning late block to deny John Eustace.

“The Derby keeper had a good game, he needed to the way the boys were playing. But we have to pick ourselves up against West Ham to put it right” said Mariappa.
