McLeish looks for replacement in N'Zogbia
ASTON VILLA have stepped up their interest in Wigan winger Charles N'Zogbia by submitting an official bid, reported to be in the region of £10 million.
The midlands club have a substantial amount of money to spend on players, after the sales of two of their most prominent stars Ashley Young and Stewart Downing, to Manchester United and Liverpool, respectively. The departure of these two players has raised funds in excess of £37 million.
Villa boss, Alex McLeish has expressed his desire to begin using his new-found funds on bringing France international N'Zogbia to Aston Villa, believing he could serve as a suitable replacement for Liverpool-bound Stewart Downing.
