Jurgen Klopp lands new job as former Liverpool boss admits 'it is tingling again'
Jurgen Klopp has been out of management since leaving Liverpool in 2024, but has now confirmed his new job.

Jurgen Klopp has confirmed his return to the sidelines in a playful video announcement revealing his latest venture. The German departed his role as Liverpool head coach during the summer of 2024, and has consistently maintained since then that he had no appetite to return to management.
The 58-year-old made his comeback to football in January 2025 when he accepted a consultancy position with the Red Bull group as their Head of Global Football. Additionally, it emerged last month that he had assumed a fresh position with the German Football League (DFL), becoming part of an expert panel focused on enhancing the nation's football.
However, Klopp has now disclosed his upcoming role, confirming he will serve as a pundit for the 2026 World Cup across Canada, Mexico and the United States for Magenta TV.
Unveiled through a social media video on Friday morning, the former Liverpool boss playfully teased a managerial comeback before clarifying the true nature of his new position.
"Many of you have always known better," he stated in a voiceover whilst footage showed him strolling around a stadium. "But I truly couldn't envision it for myself.
"Going back to the sideline? I don't miss anything. This is what I always thought. But now it is tingling again.

"Grass underneath my feet. The heated atmosphere in the stadium. And I want to be really close again."
Klopp then spoke directly to camera as he dismissed speculation of a managerial comeback yet again. "Oh? No, not as a manager," he clarified.
"I am becoming a pundit for Magenta TV at the FIFA World Cup 2026."
Klopp was then seen video-calling German television host and journalist, Johannes B. Kerner.
"Hi Johannes," he began. "I'm in! See you on June 11 in Mexico! Cool sentence. Except for Indiana Jones, probably nobody can say it."
In addition, Klopp hinted at his return in the caption accompanying the video, writing: "Grass underfoot, stadium atmosphere, very close! Back to the sideline, I'm looking forward to it!"
