9. Ruud van Nistelrooy
Ruud van Nistelrooy was the ultimate finisher. He boasts an impressive record of 95 goals in 150 appearances in the Premier League and would have scored many more had Real Madrid not come knocking.
He sits 11th in United's all-time top goalscorers list and was only at the club for five seasons. That should tell you everything you need to know.

8. Rio Ferdinand
Rio Ferdinand was unquestionably United's best defender in the Premier League era. He had it all and was the foundation of Ferguson's era of dominance.
Ferdinand made over 300 appearances for the club and earned 81 England caps. His speed and timing in the tackle were worthy of his world-class status.

David Beckham. An idol for millions of not just United supporters, but Premier League fans all over the world. You could probably count superior crossers of the ball with one hand.
The England icon registered 85 goals and 121 assists for United before leaving for Real.

Roy Keane could be the greatest club captain the Premier League has ever seen. His temper and tackling dominate his reputation, but he was a brilliant footballer.
