Andre Onana replacement not a priority

Former Manchester United goalkeeper Tim Howard doesn't believe replacing Andre Onana is a transfer priority for the club this summer.

"With Ruben Amorim — as he builds this team — there are a lot of places that need improvement, the goalkeeper position, that isn’t one that is an immediate need for change," Howard told Casino Beats.

"Onana has the prospect to continue to stake his claim as the main goalkeeper. I think he’ll have a chance to do that in the coming year.

"There are lots of changes that will need to happen in Manchester United in terms of improvement positionally.

"But the goalkeeper isn’t [the main one]. I would put it on the list, but I wouldn’t put it at the top of the list.”

"But as you said, there are many speculations, not just about Christo, about many players.

"And then if something is going to happen, I don’t know because we said many times when the transfer window is open, anything can happen in terms of players that can arrive or players that can leave.”
