Andy Robertson took to social media to jokingly troll Ryan Gravenberch after his standout performance in Liverpool's win at Wolves which earned him the Man of the Match accolade.

The match ended 2-1 in favour of Arne Slot's side, with a penalty from Mohamed Salah decisive following Rayan Ait-Nouri cancelling out Ibrahima Konate's header.

The victory lifted Liverpool to the summit of the Premier League table, nudging them a point clear of title rivals Manchester City and Arsenal.

After clinching the award, the star player Gravenberch told Sky Sports: "Of course, this season I want to show myself again. I think I'm [going] in the right way. I have to keep going.

"I'm happy. He [head coach Arne Slot] just put me in the starting XI and gave me a lot of confidence and you see it. I think I'm doing really well."

Game after game, Gravenberch's performances have not gone unnoticed. And his team-mate Robertson couldn't resist teasing the Dutchman as he shared an Instagram story post-match showing Gravenberch with his award in the locker room.

The caption read light-heartedly: "Give it a rest, [sleeping emoji]."

Trent Alexander-Arnold similarly celebrated Gravenberch, posting: "Man of the moment, [eyestruck emoji]."

Clearly, coach Arne Slots decision to play Gravenberch in the No. 6 spot has been vindicated splendidly after missing out on Real Sociedad's Martin Zubimendi.

After delivering another strong performance in his sixth consecutive start for Liverpool at Molineux, the next challenge for Slot's team is a Champions League clash against Bologna on Wednesday (8pm).
