Mason Greenwood has reached an agreement on personal terms with Juventus ahead of a potential summer transfer, according to reports. Greenwood's permanent Manchester United exit is accelerating ahead of the transfer window, with Turin increasingly looking like his next destination.

The 22-year-old is widely expected to be a part of a summer clearout at Old Trafford as INEOS look to generate funds through player sales.

Greenwood impressed on loan at Getafe last season, registering 10 goals and six assists in 36 appearances after a deadline-day switch.

United suffered attacking woes in the same campaign, recording a -1 goal difference in the Premier League, but the academy graduate appears to have no future at the club.

Greenwood was suspended by United following his arrest in January 2022 and was later charged with attempted rape, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and controlling and coercive behaviour, all of which he denied.

In February 2023, the Crown Prosecution Service dropped all charges due to the withdrawal of key witnesses and new evidence that had come to light.

After a six-month internal investigation, United decided it would be best for Greenwood to continue his career away from the club.

On the back of a successful return to football in La Liga - reportedly attracting heavyweight interest across Europe - he looks primed to leave permanently this summer.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Greenwood is among Juventus' priority targets as they press forward with recruitment plans.

It's claimed that the former United No. 11 has already agreed personal terms with the Old Lady after recent contact over a Serie A switch.

The report adds that the Red Devils' asking price is set at around £42million, but Juventus hope to seal a deal for £25m plus bonuses in the coming weeks.

Both clubs will likely have to meet a compromise in discussions, but a permanent transfer to Italy would suit all parties.

Juventus are said to plan on pressing forward with their pursuit of Greenwood once they raise funds through the sale of AS Roma targets Federico Chiesa or Matias Soule.

United can also expect handsome transfer fees for Casemiro and Jadon Sancho as INEOS look to refresh the squad ahead of their first full season in charge of football operations.

With Erik ten Hag's future now settled, all focus will be on the transfer window, in which the Dutchman is expected to accept a reduced role in recruitment.

Greenwood and Sancho's exits could pave the way for a new winger to arrive in M16 amid links to Crystal Palace's Michael Olise.
