Man Utd manager shortlist down to one with Mauricio Pochettino 'out of the frame'
Mauricio Pochettino is said to be out of the running to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd, leaving one name on a reported shortlist.

Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly out of the frame to replace Erik ten Hag as Manchester United manager this summer after Kieran McKenna and Thomas Tuchel exited the running. United are unlikely to offer the Argentine the job if they sack Ten Hag, leaving one name from a four-man shortlist they were said to have drawn up last month.
The Red Devils are still conducting a season review led by Sir Dave Brailsford almost three weeks after their FA Cup triumph against Manchester City on May 25.
Ten Hag remains left in the dark about his future, which hasn't been helped by reports of potential replacements meeting with United as early as the week of the FA Cup final.
Days before the Wembley showdown - won 2-1 through goals from Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo - The Times stated that United had settled on four replacement candidates.
It was claimed that McKenna, Tuchel, Pochettino and Thomas Frank were in the frame. However, three of them have since seemingly bowed out.
McKenna - a boyhood United fan who left his role as assistant coach in December 2021 - signed a new contract as Ipswich Town manager after overseeing back-to-back promotions to the Premier League.
Tuchel - who left Bayern Munich at the end of the season - reportedly met Ratcliffe in Monaco as recently as last week.

But the German was said to have left the meeting with little hope of being offered the job, subsequently deciding to take a break from football.
And now a fresh Times report suggests that Pochettino looks set to miss out on the role again, two years after Ten Hag was selected ahead of him by United's former decision-makers.
He was involved in talks after leaving Chelsea just one year into his reign but is thought to be unlikely to be offered the job if Ten Hag departs.
It leaves just one name from The Times' original report.
Frank is believed to have held talks with United chiefs after making a positive impression by establishing Brentford as a Premier League club.
The Danish coach arrived at the Bees in 2018 and guided the West Londoners to Premier League promotion three years later.
Frank was also linked with Chelsea and Liverpool before the pair of top-flight giants appointed Enzo Maresca and Arne Slot, respectively.
He is yet to be ruled out as a potential Ten Hag replacement, and will likely be in the conversation as United wrap up their season review this week.
