Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United will be desperately attempting to bring in new faces when the summer transfer window opens as the three clubs look to topple Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table.

The Gunners came close to clinching top-flight silverware last season after racking up 28 wins, but were thwarted by the Citizens on the final day of the campaign.

Liverpool will have a fresh impetus under new boss Arne Slot when the new season gets underway, while the Red Devils will need to close a gap of 31 points if they are to compete for honours.

Chelsea are another team with a new manager at the helm after Enzo Maresca came in to replace Mauricio Pochettino.

And the Blues look set to secure their first transfer of the summer after defender Tosin Adarabioyo reportedly put pen-to-paper on a four-year contract at Stamford Bridge on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Pep Guardiola’s team will be unwilling to sit still, despite winning four Premier League titles on the bounce, and will look to build on their momentum in what could be their manager’s final campaign in charge.

Jamie Vardy signs new Leicester City contract

Jamie Vardy will spend a 12th year at Leicester City in the Premier League next season.

The 37-year-old striker has signed a new one-year contract and has promised there is still more to come.

He said: "To get the numbers that I did [last season], I’m delighted with it, but there’s still more to come.

"I look after myself. I’ve always said that age is just a number. My legs feel fine, so that’s why I carry on until my legs say, ‘That’s it, game over’. There will be a day when that comes, but that’s not right now.

"We look forward to another season in the Premier League and seeing what we can do. One hundred per cent, it’s the best league in the world. That’s where you want to be playing your football."

Bernardo Silva wants Joao Neves at Man City

Bernardo Silva has hinted that he will attempt to lure Benfica starlet Joao Neves to Manchester City.

The 19-year-old midfielder is Bernardo's Portugal team-mate and has been linked with a blockbuster transfer ahead of the summer.

Manchester United are among the clubs touted as suitors, and captain Bruno Fernandes has raved about his talent.

But Bernardo is another in the Portugal camp who would love to play alongside Neves at club level.

He said: "I’d tell him to go to Manchester City. It’s not easy. He’s a player who, given his success last season, has many clubs wanting him.

"As a Portuguese, and a player I like, I’d like to see him alongside me. But I want the best for him."

Brandon Williams bids farewell

Brandon Williams has posted a farewell message to Manchester United after it was confirmed he would be leaving the club this summer.

The 23-year-old full-back is set to become a free agent after 16 years at Old Trafford, and he has delivered a parting message.

"I always hoped I would have never had to make this post but here we are," Williams wrote on Instagram.

"Since the age of seven, this Manchester United Football Club has been part of my life from The Cliff to Carrington day in, day out.

"But to have been able to make brothers which will last a lifetime I want to thank my teammates, especially the ones I’ve shared the past 17 years with.

"Thank you to the staff the kitmen, maintenance workers, security, and physios. I could go on and on, you were all amazing and, of course, the coaches.

"Then, most importantly, THANKYOU to you fans. The backbone of the club, the reason we work so hard for to be able to perform at the highest level because you all deserve it.

Said Benrahma set to join Lyon permanently

West Ham United forward Said Benrahma is set to join Lyon permanently, according to L'Equipe.

Benrahma registered three goals and four assists in 15 appearances on loan at Lyon in the second half of last season.

And the Ligue 1 club are now expected to trigger a buy option in the 28-year-old's contract.

The total deal - including the loan fee - will rise to around £27m.

Tosin Adarabioyo's message to Chelsea fans

Chelsea's latest signing Tosin Adarabioyo has aimed a message at the club's fans after completing a free transfer from Fulham.

He said: "I'm excited to get going. I'm looking forward to starting work with Enzo and I'm sure the boys are too. It's going to be exciting.

"We're going to play good football and win a lot of games. There are top players in this squad and I'm eager to play with them all."

Benfica join race to land Greenwood

Mason Greenwood could secure a move to Benfica this summer - which would derail a mooted Manchester United swap deal. The striker, who impressed during his loan stint with Getafe in Spain's top flight, appears set for another transfer this summer.

Speculation has surfaced about a potential swap deal that would see Greenwood head to Juventus, with former Chelsea youngster Samuel Iling-Junior moving in the opposite direction.

But Benfica have emerged as a serious contender for his signature. Greenwood and his father have reportedly engaged in discussions with Benfica's sporting director Rui Pedro Braz, according to Portuguese publication Record.

Potter won’t return to Brighton

Graham Potter will not return to manage Brighton, according to Sky Sports. The 49-year-old spent three years in the AMEX Stadium dugout but left the club in September 2022 to join Chelsea.

The Seagulls don’t want to rush their next managerial appointment, with St Pauli boss Fabian Hurzeler now said to be in the running to land the top job.

Eze release clause comes to light

Eberechi Eze's hefty Crystal Palace release clause has come to light, giving Tottenham food for thought as they reportedly weigh up a summer swoop.

Eze's stellar form at club level has earned him a spot in the squad Gareth Southgate selected to represent England at Euro 2024.

According to the Daily Mail, the Palace contract Eze signed last November includes a £60million release clause, but any potential buyer will also need to commit to approximately £8m in add-ons, bringing the total package to a dizzying £68m.

Chelsea confirm Adarabioyo signing

Chelsea have confirmed that Tosin Adarabioyo will join the club ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.

After landing a deal at Stamford Bridge, the defender said: “Chelsea is a huge club and this is a full-circle moment for me.

“I was born three miles away from Stamford Bridge and made my professional debut there. I’m very excited and looking forward to helping push the club in the direction we want to go.”

Gabriel transfer confession

Arsenal defender Gabriel has openly confessed his desire to join Corinthians, revealing he would make the move “tomorrow” if given the chance

Gabriel's football journey began at Avai, yet his heart seems firmly set on Corinthians, where he has been seen cheering from the stands and was even caught on camera using public transport to attend a game last month.

When asked about the possibility of playing for them, he said: “It's something to think about. Sometimes I stop and think, 'Do you dream of playing for Corinthians?’ I do. ‘When would you play for Corinthians?’ For me, I'd be at Corinthians tomorrow.”

He then added: “I hope it doesn't take too long because I want to feel the energy of those fans, who are incredible, as soon as possible.”

Klopp touted for England job

Arsenal hero Emmanuel Petit has called on the FA to appoint former Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp as England manager after Gareth Southgate departs.

The 1998 World Cup winner told bestonlinepokersites.ltd: “You have the choice to take either an English manager or a foreign manager. If we talk about an English manager then there is Graham Potter for example.

“I know it is not the tradition of English people or the FA to hire a foreign manager but they have done it in the past with Sven-Goran Eriksson. So maybe someone with a different vision from outside, because I really feel that England is not far from winning something.

“I would love to see Jurgen Klopp. Guys like this say: ‘I’m going to take one year out.’ But it’s a lie. After two or three months they will be bored.”

Man Utd given green light

Manchester United are said to be targeting Sporting midfielder Morten Hjulmand and could reportedly sign him for £69million this summer.

And the ace has given the Red Devils the green light to chase his signature after reacting to praise from United star Bruno Fernandes.

“It’s always great to receive praise from other big profiles,” Hjulmand explained. “I know he’s a former Sporting player and he’s still a big fan of the club, so it’s great to know he’s still watching. It can only make me happy to receive praise from a player like him.

“I’d say that it (the Premier League) is a destination I could see myself going to in the future. Whether it’s a dream, I don’t know. But it is a goal for me to play in the Premier League one day.”

Arsenal target Guimaraes gives hint on future

Arsenal and Manchester City target Bruno Guimaraes has hinted about where his future lies following a stellar two-and-a-half years at Newcastle. The Brazil international has been linked with a big-money move this summer.

“Look, my future, to be honest, is in God’s hands,” Guimaraes explained. “I have a contract with Newcastle, I’m very happy, as I said. I know how much they like me, I know everything I’ve been doing for the club.

“In short, I have a contract, I’m happy. I don’t know what can happen, we know everything about Financial Fair Play, but what I can say is that I feel happy.

“Obviously it’s very nice to have your name linked with big clubs, it shows that I’m doing my job well, but I’m not worried about it at all. As I said, I’m happy at the club. I’m very happy, so let’s see what happens. I’m not in any hurry, I’m happy - and it’s up to God - let’s see what happens.”

Liverpool agreement said to be ‘close’

Sports Zone have reported that Liverpool are close to reaching an agreement in principle with Atalanta to snap up midfielder Ederson. And other reports suggest the Reds could pay over £38million to sign the 24-year-old.

However, other media outlets including The Athletic have claimed that a deal is not on the cards.

Ederson has spent the last two seasons at Atalanta and featured in 36 Serie A matches last season as his team finished fourth in the table.

Chelsea seal Adarabioyo deal

Chelsea’s deal to land Tosin Adarabioyo appears to be sealed as the defender has signed a four-year contract at Stamford Bridge, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.

The 26-year-old has come to the end of his contract at Fulham and will join the Blues on a free transfer after completing his medical yesterday.

Adarabioyo, who made 20 Premier League appearances last season, was also targeted by the likes of Manchester United and Newcastle but will now be able to remain in the capital.

Man Utd £34m demand

Manchester United are willing to part company with Mason Greenwood on a permanent basis if their transfer demands are met, according to La Gazzetta Dello Sport.

The Red Devils want up to £34million to let Greenwood go, with Juventus advancing to land the forward.

Greenwood has already said ‘yes’ to Juve, but the Italian club are trying to negotiate a lower transfer figure as the fee is currently too much.
