Wales fans’ fury as 32 are arrested in Armenia before Euro 24 qualifier
Shocked Wales football fans claim they were attacked and arrested in Armenia "for no reason" before yesterday's crunch Euro 2024 qualifier.
About 1,200 Wales supporters were in the capital Yerevan for yesterday’s match, which ended in a 1-1
The Football Association of Wales confirmed 32 supporters had been held – but were later released without charge.
One fan alleged 25 of them were put against a wall, photographed and taunted with getting six-month sentences.
Police claimed it came after an earlier fight.
Lefi Gruffudd said: “Three of us were walking back towards the hotel quite late on Friday night and police came straight up to us, took us into their cars, kept us in custody until 3.30pm yesterday.

“They treated us insultingly, no water, no cell, nothing through the night. No explanation why we were arrested. We have been asking questions all the time but no answers.”
And Gerallt Dafydd said he was hit in the face by an officer while in a police car.
He added: “It was a traumatic experience.”
