Chelsea still have 'seven players up for sale' including £160m Thomas Tuchel flops

Chelsea still have seven more players to offload this summer as they look to recoup funds from their recent heavy spending. Romelu Lukaku, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Christian Pulisic, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Trevoh Chalobah, Cesar Azpilicueta and Marc Cucurella are all linked with moves away as part of Chelsea's £212million fire sale.
The Blues squad remains extremely bloated despite parting ways with multiple first-team players. Kai Havertz was recently sold to Arsenal for £65m while N'Golo Kante, Edouardo Mendy and Kalidou Koulibaly have all signed money-spinning contracts to play in the Saudi Pro League.
But co-sporting directors Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart are planning to ship out seven more players in order to help the rebuilding process under new manager Mauricio Pochettino. The Blues are only willing to entertain permanent deals as was made clear by the club rejecting Inter Milan's recent loan offer for Romelu Lukaku.
They are more focused on outgoings than incoming players at this stage of the window. Chelsea are though actively pursuing Brighton's Moises Caicedo as well as Celta Vigo's Gabri Veiga and have already completed the signings of Kendry Paez, Christopher Nkunku, Nicolas Jackson and Diego Moreira.
On top of their list of outgoings are Chelsea flops Cucurella and Lukaku, who were both signed by Thomas Tuchel for a combined £160m. Cucurella joined Chelsea last season for £62m from Brighton and has had an awful first campaign at Stamford Bridge.
So much so, that they are already hoping to let him go after making just 33 appearances for the west Londoners. There were reports circulating that Cucurella had been offered to Atletico Madrid for £55m but the Spaniard's agent has since come out and denied those claims.

Lukaku, meanwhile, set Chelsea back £97.5m in the summer of 2021. After scoring just eight goals in his first season, the Belgian striker was shipped out on loan to his former club Inter Milan, where he put on another uninspiring showing.
Pochettino has deemed him surplus to requirements in his new system and Chelsea are willing to let him go at a heavy loss. The five-time Premier League winners are willing to let him go for just £34m, £63.5m less than they paid for him two years ago.
