Man Utd 'still in mix' to snatch Ange Postecoglou's priority Tottenham signing
Manchester United and Tottenham are both looking to sign a new goalkeeper in the summer transfer window.
Manchester United could reportedly pounce to snatch David Raya from Tottenham's clutches - despite Spurs being ahead in the race for the Brentford goalkeeper. The Spain international is looking to embark on a new chapter this summer after turning down two substantial contract offers from the Bees.
Brentford have already moved to sign Raya's potential replacement in the form of Freiburg goalkeeper Mark Flekken.
Now the Bees are ready to offload their No 1 providing their £40million valuation is met.
Despite strong interest, no club is currently prepared to match that figure and therefore Brentford may have to reduce their demands before a deal can be struck.
According to The Telegraph, United remain on the case despite the fact Spurs are currently leading the chase for the 27-year-old.

Spurs have already been discussing personal terms as the club are prioritising the signing of a goalkeeper to replace Hugo Lloris.
The Frenchman is expected to leave north London this summer and is already the subject of strong interest from Saudi Arabia.
Crucially, both United and Spurs want to sign a goalkeeper that can use his feet and play out from the back.
There are only a select few in world football with the speciality including Raya, who has been a mainstay in recent Spain squads.

But neither club is prepared to spend big on a player that is out of contract next summer.
The 27-year-old is even willing to run down his contract in a bid to secure a move as he does not intend to remain at Brentford.
Brentford technical director Lee Dykes recently declared Raya was "well within his right" to pursue a new challenge.
He told The Beautiful Game Podcast: “We sat in front of David and said if you go beyond us, that is the time for you to go. I think he is one of the best [goalkeepers] in the Premier League which makes him one of the best in the world. He is at a really good moment as a goalkeeper and he is well within his rights to explore his options. That is fine, no problem."
He added: “We have to understand that at Brentford, like at Brighton & Hove Albion, there are bigger clubs out there that could potentially have homes for these players. We will always be in the mindset of if we helped them get to the top level, then we have played our part as long as the club is remunerated for any potential transfer. I watch him every day at training and he is top-level.”
United remain in talks with David de Gea over a contract extension but the Spaniard has not received guarantees he will remain No 1 moving forward.
De Gea, like Lloris, is attracting interest from the Middle East as Saudi Arabian clubs continue to target big-name signings from Europe.
Dean Henderson is also set to join Nottingham Forest on a permanent transfer meaning United are almost certain to recruit at least one new goalkeeper.
