Liverpool team news: Predicted XI vs Brentford as Jurgen Klopp makes four changes
Liverpool face Brentford in a 17:30BST kick-off at Anfield.
Klopp happy to see Liverpool maintain form with Fulham win
Liverpool’s late surge for Champions League qualification could be given a boost by a win over Brentford on Saturday evening. A fifth consecutive triumph would place the Reds within touching distance of fourth-place Manchester United with three games remaining.
When Liverpool lost 4-1 at Manchester City on April 1, it seemed their top-four hopes had disintegrated. However, Jurgen Klopp’s side are unbeaten since that defeat and have an outside chance of qualifying for the Champions League. Express Sport looks at the team Klopp could pick to face Brentford, with four changes from the 1-0 win over Fulham...
Goalkeeper: Alisson
Alisson has long been Klopp’s No 1 goalkeeper. The Brazilian will start in goal against Brentford in hope of keeping back-to-back clean sheets.
Defenders: Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson
Klopp has finally had some consistency at centre-back, with Konate in line for a third-consecutive start. Injuries in the position have prevented the German from naming unchanged pairings for most of the campaign.
Andy Robertson could come back in at left-back after being rested against Fulham in midweek. Kostas Tsimikas struggled in the narrower role of the left-sided defender, which has been deployed by Klopp to give Trent Alexander-Arnold more freedom to roam.
The switch has seen an improvement in Alexander-Arnold’s performances. He has been handed more creative responsibility, and Liverpool have ultimately started scoring more goals.

Midfielders: Fabinho, Jones, Elliott
Klopp revealed that Jordan Henderson could miss the Brentford clash with the injury that forced him off against Fulham. "Hendo, we have to see. He had yesterday a scan, didn't see the results yet,” the Liverpool boss said.
“It will not be a big thing but maybe it's enough to rule out for tomorrow. I don't know that yet."
Harvey Elliott could be given another chance to impress in midfield. The excellent Curtis Jones - who has worked his way into Klopp’s plans in recent months - could earn another start alongside Fabinho.
Attackers: Salah, Gakpo, Jota
With a congested run-in and the necessity to keep players fresh, Klopp could decide to revamp his front three. Mohamed Salah is always a certainty to start, but Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz could both drop out.
Cody Gakpo has impressed since his January move from PSV, scoring six goals in 17 Premier League appearances. Diogo Jota is hitting form at the right time following a lengthy injury lay-off, bagging five times in as many top-flight matches, and could start after coming off the bench against Fulham despite a bruised rib.
