Tottenham supporters were seen leaving St James' Park inside 10 minutes after five goals in the opening stages of their top-four showdown saw the visitors endure a horror start to the game. Braces from Jacob Murphy and Alexander Isak in addition to Joelinton's finish saw fans quickly exit the stadium - much to the delight of the Newcastle faithful.
An embarrassing start to the game saw the visitors go down after just 61 seconds through Murphy's tapped rebound as Hugo Lloris was unable to steer Joelinton's effort away from danger, then the Brazilian ghosted in behind Pedro Porro to get a quick double.
Murphy then struck from distance as Newcastle led 3-0 after nine minutes - which signalled the exits from the travelling fans back to north London - as matters got worse when Isak struck twice.
Former Spurs winger Chris Waddle noted that supporters were leaving St James' Park as videos of their exits were quickly posted on social media. "How good have Newcastle been since kick-off?" Waddle told BBC 5 Live.
"I've already seen some Tottenham fans leaving. This is not acceptable from Spurs but give Newcastle credit, they've come out, asked questions and got their reward.
"I don't know what to say now. Newcastle have been brilliant and I don't want to take anything away from their performance but Tottenham are a shambles. It's literally embarrassing. When you get rid of your manager and your assistant plays the same way then it isn't going to change."

Former Arsenal striker Alan Smith was on commentary duties for Sky Sports and could not believe what he was witnessing as Spurs capitulated before his eyes.
"It is difficult to believe what we’re seeing," Smith said as Isak notched Newcastle's fifth. "Hugo Lloris beaten easily yet again. Tottenham have imploded, they have totally lost it. What does Harry Kane think about this? My word, there aren’t many games that pan out like this, I cannot remember one between two teams so close in the league and one so totally outclassed.
"It’s incredible to watch. Nobody ever gets tight in a Tottenham shirt and again, for Hugo Lloris to be beaten from that angle, it shouldn’t happen. As well as Isak hits it, it shouldn’t happen. My word. What does this game finish up as? 5-0 after 20 minutes."
