England World Cup star tipped to show Liverpool and Chelsea 'what they're missing'

England star Declan Rice has been tipped to show both Liverpool and Chelsea what they are missing with his displays at the World Cup. The West Ham midfielder impressed in the opening 6-2 win over Iran and is expected to continue in the starting lineup alongside Jude Bellingham against the United States.
The Hammers captain has been the subject of several transfer rumours following his performances in the Premier League, with Jurgen Klopp and Graham Potter’s sides two of several that have been mentioned with a big-money move for the England man. Former Aston Villa striker Gabby Agbonlahor was impressed with Rice in his World Cup opener, and has tipped him to leave West Ham in the summer.
“Declan Rice, for me, was very good against Iran,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider. “It’s not just Bellingham, it’s other players. This is definitely a chance and a platform to show how big of a player he is, how good of a player he is. He can attract interest from the big clubs in Europe. He’s not going to stay at West Ham beyond this season, for me.
“If he can show Liverpool what they are maybe missing and other teams in Europe, maybe Chelsea as well. I think this is a great chance for Declan Rice to show what he’s capable of. He’s an outstanding player and I’m sure he’ll continue to show that.”
Rice’s contract at West Ham ends in 2024 and though he has been reportedly offered an eight-year deal at the club, he has turned down several chances to extend his stay which has prompted top clubs in the Premier League and Europe to have their eye on his situation.
Hammers boss David Moyes has previously admitted that Rice will cost any side upwards of £150million should they wish to prise his captain away from the London Stadium in the summer, however.

“The first thing to say is that he is not for sale," Moyes said in April. "If you are interested, well, it will be north of that because £100m was cheap last summer. £150m just now would be minimum but he is not for sale. What I do know is that it means there are only certain clubs that could even consider it."
Liverpool’s midfield has been the subject of criticism this season after their poor start to the campaign and there have been calls for Klopp’s side to strengthen in that area.
They have been linked with Rice’s international colleague Bellingham though they will face significant competition for his signature with a host of clubs set to rival the Reds to sign the teenager.
