Edgar Davids catches up on shopping
EDGAR Davids endured a 16-hour flight from Argentina and a lost bag ahead of his debut for ITV at the Arsenal v Barcelona tie – the sort of commitment that suggests he is eager to be a pundit at the World Cup. Not least because he claimed last night’s appearance earned him nothing but his “room service”.
But despite not arriving in London until a few hours before the game, he still clearly had an ulterior motive for travelling to the capital – a bit of shopping.
One fellow customer at the Abercrombie and Fitch store in Savile Row, where he had two two-foot high piles of clothes on the counter, suggested that a four-figure sum was spent – possibly more than his travel insurance would cover.
