Scott McGleish returns to Charlton
SCOTT McGLEISH returned to haunt former club Charlton, ending their unbeaten home record and denying them the chance to go level on points with Norwich and Leeds at the top of League One.
Leyton Orient striker Scott McGleish stunned The Valley three minutes into the second half, diving to head home a Sean Thornton cross.
Ryan Jarvis went within inches of doubling Orient’s lead when his shot beat goalkeeper Rob Elliot only to strike the post.
Charlton boss Phil Parkinson said: “It was disappointing. It’s the first time in a while I’ve had to discuss a defeat. Orient played well.They came and were positive.”
