Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has insisted his side will bounce back in the Champions League following their shock defeat against the Swiss champions last time out. United suffered their second defeat in just four days on Saturday when they were beaten 1-0 by Aston Villa at Old Trafford.
Villa defender Kortney Hause scored the only goal of the game when he headed home with just two minutes left of normal time.
United will now turn their attention to the Champions League contest against Villarreal on Wednesday and Solskjaer’s side will be looking to turn their form around in the competition.
"Every time you're defeated, you have to stand up for yourselves, stand up for your team, fight for your team and we will,” Solskjaer said after his side’s defeat against Villa.
"The boys will. It's a big game [on Wednesday], Champions League night and we know we've started that group badly so we'll be ready."

And United’s recent game wasn’t short of controversy either, after Solskjaer put Bruno Fernandes on penalty duty, rather than Ronaldo.
The Red Devils were given a penalty shortly after Hause opened the scoring for Villa and fans were surprised to see Fernandes step up to take the spot kick.
After the defeat, the Norwegian boss explained his decision as well as expressing his dislike for the way Villa’s players crowded round Fernandes in an attempt to put him off before the penalty was taken.
“First of all the way they get round the penalty spot, get round Bruno and that, that’s not to my liking,” said Solskjaer.
