Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice to send Manchester United fans wild inside Old Trafford in their 4-1 win over Newcastle on Saturday. Fans all over the world were desperately tuning into their radios and refreshing their phones at 3pm to try and catch any glimpse or updates on Ronaldo's second debut for United.
There were doubts over whether the Portuguese star would be handed his second debut so soon after joining.
But Ronaldo was inevitably thrown into the starting XI, playing alongside Mason Greenwood and Jadon Sancho with Bruno Fernandes playing in behind.
All eyes were on the 36-year-old and how he would fare on his return to the Premier League and it took just 45 minutes for the iconic forward to showcase his scoring exploits.
Greenwood cut inside from the right to let fly from range, but Freddie Woodman spilled his effort, with Ronaldo pouncing to tap in from close range.
