Brett Ormerod gets promotion bug at Blackpool
BRETT Ormerod has warned Blackpool’s rivals they should begin to take their play-off hopes seriously.
Striker Ormerod is convinced his team are still viewed as makeweights in the top half of the table.
Ormerod recovered from a Christmas Day bug to score the second goal and said: “We go to the big clubs and their fans still see us as the underdogs. But the gaffer has instilled a lot of belief in us, not just to be happy to survive but
to really compete.”
Derby fell behind when defender Jake Buxton deflected Ormerod’s first-half cross into his own net and boss Nigel Clough said: “We’ve gone from playing very well to not good enough in our last two games.
It emphasises how fragile our confidence is."
