A string of Europe’s elite clubs have been linked with Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland this summer, but a move for the blockbuster striker has yet to materialise. And it appears that Haaland will be staying in Germany for the time being.
Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly been preparing a last-minute bid to attempt to take the Norway forward to the Princes des Parc before Tuesday’s 11pm transfer deadline.
The Ligue 1 side were said to be interested in signing Haaland to replace Kylian Mbappe, who could depart Paris for Real Madrid.
But, according to The Athletic, those reports have ‘proved untrue’ and Haaland will in fact continue to ‘keep his options open' for 2022.
Haaland has been linked with a move to the Premier League this summer, with Chelsea and Manchester United apparently keen on the player.

With Haaland valued well above that figure, Europe’s biggest clubs will be circling to land a player who is seen by many as the best striker in the world.
Haaland was the Dortmund hero on Friday night as his side defeated Hoffenheim 3-2 in a Bundesliga thriller.
Dortmund went ahead twice in the game but were pegged back on both occasions as Mu'nas Dabbur netted for the visitors in the 90th minute.
But Haaland responded in the manner that all world-class players do when their backs are against the wall and fired home the winner in stoppage time to secure the three points.
The forward has now struck 63 goals in 64 games for the German giants after joining from RB Salzburg in January 2020.

He notched 10 Champions League goals in just eight games last season but was kept quiet in both legs against Manchester City as Dortmund exited the competition at the quarter-final stage.
Man City opted to go after Harry Kane this summer instead of Haaland but are likely to be one of the clubs vying for the Norwegian’s signature when his release clause becomes active.
Man Utd will also be one of the frontrunners for Haaland, with boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer building a formidable side at Old Trafford.
Haaland will not be short of offers next summer and a move to the Premier League could well be on the cards.
