Sheffield Wednesday's woe
DONCASTER 1 SHEFFIELD WED 0 BILLY SHARP piled the pressure on Wednesday manager Brian Laws with a late winner.
Sharp was barracked throughout the game at the Keepmoat Stadium but came up with a winner 12 minutes from time as the Owls extended their winless run to eight matches.
Laws’ side have now not scored in 437 minutes and showed
why they have struggled so badly in front of goal as they failed to take a host of chances.
Jermaine Johnson and Darren Potter both failed to test goalkeeper Neil Sullivan and Leon Clarke was guilty of a shocking miss just before the break.
The visitors continued to dominate after the restart but Johnson drove wide with their best chance.
And they were made to pay when substitute Simon Gillett crossed for Sharp to head in.
