Ole Gunnar Solskjaer recently confirmed United had opened talks with the player's reps over an extension.
“Yes we are talking to Eric and Eric’s representatives,” confirmed Solskjaer.
“He is keeping fitter for longer and you can see his performances as well and I have been very happy with him. His playing style has sometimes made him lose too many games because 100 games that is not enough for the period he has been here.
"He is getting more and more robust so yes he is one we are talking to.”

But The Sun claim the Ivorian is now preparing to reject an extension from United.
Bailly is said to be angry that he was left out of the United team to face AC Milan in the first-leg at Old Trafford.
It's said that Bailly no longer holds an interest in extending his stay at the club and will now look to move on.
Coincidentally, Milan have previously held an interest in the 26-year-old, who is allegedly upset with his current situation.
