Liverpool legend Steve Nicol says the lack of a crowd at Anfield on Sunday hugely favours Manchester United. The two bitter rivals will meet in a behind-closed-doors match for the first time since the start of the coronavirus pandemic. There is added spice to the fixture with United having the opportunity to extend their lead over reigning champions Liverpool at the top of the table to six points.

Liverpool news: Manchester United are aiming to win their first Premier League title since 2013 (Image: EXPRESS)
Mohamed Salah is the Premier League's leading goalscorer with 13 goals to his name this season.
And the Liverpool forward knows the size of the match in front of his side.
“The game is really big at the moment, especially because now they are first and we are second,” Salah told TV 2.
“They are playing well this season as well. It’s a good game but at the end of the day we need to win that game, I think that’s the most important thing.
“I always say it’s just one game, it’s only one game. But because this one, if they win they are going to be six points [ahead of Liverpool] and if you win you’re going to be the same, it’s a little bit special this game.
“It’s always different. The last two years I’ve always said it’s one game and that’s it, it’s three points.
"But this game now, because they are first and you have to be close to them and beat them to be first as well, it’s a little bit special.”
