Liverpool legend Steve Nicol admits he is concerned about Manchester United's threat ahead of Sunday's clash at Anfield. United head to Merseyside three points clear of reigning champions Liverpool at the top of the Premier League table. The Red Devils are unbeaten away from home in the league this season but come up against a side who have not lost a league game on their patch since April 2017.

"It seems a little harsh but without those two, this is a completely different Manchester United.
"So quite honestly, Liverpool's thoughts will be more on what they can do to get better, i.e. scoring goals and making chances and getting the front three back to where they should be, and of course the obvious problem of what happens defensively. Who are the centre-backs?
"So I think Liverpool's thoughts are going to be more about how do they cover up the deficiencies and how do they get better going forward, as opposed to Manchester United.
"Because it's pretty clear this game is going to be played with Liverpool going forward and United using their pace against two midfielders, which I think will be playing centre-back for Liverpool."

Liverpool news: The Reds are aiming to win back-to-back Premier League titles (Image: EXPRESS)
Liverpool have failed to win any of their last three league matches, scoring just one goal in the process.
Sadio Mane has praised United for their improvement this season but says Liverpool are determined to turn their form around and compete for back-to-back titles.
"They are doing well and they are a good team – a very good team," Mane told the official Liverpool website.
"It is another test for us to see what we can achieve.
