Tottenham vs Arsenal player ratings: Two Spurs stars score 9 as two Gunners aces flop
Tottenham beat Arsenal 2-0 in the Premier League on Sunday evening.
Tottenham returned to the top of the Premier League table with a comfortable 2-0 win over north London rivals Arsenal. Heung-min Son and Harry Kane scored the goals in the first half to seal the three points. Express Sport takes a look at how the individual players fared.
TOTTENHAM (4-3-3)
LLORIS 7
A couple of brilliant saves in the second half helped see Tottenham through to their win.
AURIER 6
Always has the occasional lapse in him and could perhaps have done more to stop Tierney's deliveries.
DIER 7
Strong header set Tottenham on their way to opening goal. Few missed passes but sound when it mattered.
ALDERWEIRELD 7
A welcome return to a key figure in the Spurs defence if they are going to concede this much possession.
REGUILON 7
His energy kept Bellerin quiet on the Arsenal right and he was eager to support attacks.
LO CELSO 5
Key part in second goal but could be clumsy in the tackle and lacked sharpness in possession.
HOJBJERG 9
Outstanding play all over the pitch. Seemed like there were two of him at times. Spurs' key man.
Spurs v Arsenal: Match in pictures
SISSOKO 8
Powerful when he needs to be, he has a habit of emerging from danger with the ball.
BERGWIJN 7
Worked really hard defensively and always keen to offer himself as the outlet on the break.
KANE 9
Goal. Assist. And Tottenham's best defender from set-pieces. Man of the match any other day.
SON 8
Took his goal brilliantly to set the match up and teed up Kane to kill it off. Always a threat.
SUBS
DAVIES (for Lo Celso 72)
MOURA (for Son 88)
RODON (for Bergwijn 90)
ARSENAL (3-4-3)
LENO 6
No chance with either goal and proved a useful halfway line sweeper to stop Spurs breaking.
HOLDING 6
Generally tidy enough but needed to get closer to Son to prevent him from scoring vital first goal.
GABRIEL 7
Strong use of possession kept Arsenal pressing forward but was as exposed as everyone for the goals.
TIERNEY 7
Some superb crosses in the second half might have made a difference on another day.
BELLERIN 5
Lacked impact going forward and gave ball away cheaply. Shadow of the player he was.
PARTEY 6
Looked to be one of Arsenal's few contenders only to get injured again ahead of the second goal
XHAKA 5
Clattered into any Spurs player who came near him but Arsenal need something more refined.
SAKA 7
Grew into the game and had some dangerous moments in the second half. One brighter spot for Arsenal.
WILLIAN 6
Another tepid performance. Booed as a former Chelsea player who snubbed Spurs but offered no response.
LACAZETTE 7
His sharper, more confident self might have bagged one or two today. Just crucial inches off it though.
AUBAMEYANG 6
Should have done better with a header in the second half – otherwise another misfire from Arsenal's main man.
