Man Utd dressing room stance on Mauricio Pochettino emerges after latest development
Manchester United have reportedly approached Mauricio Pochettino to come in and replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Man Utd: Solskjaer reacts to 2-1 loss to Istanbul Basaksehir
Mauricio Pochettino is once again being hotly tipped to take over at Manchester United and it's a move that would strongly supported in the dressing room, according to reports. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had appeared to turn a corner at United after slow start to the season was followed by big wins over Paris Saint-Germain and RB Leipzig with a draw against Chelsea in between.
But fast forward a week and the mood inside Old Trafford has changed dramatically following back-to-back defeats against Arsenal and Istanbul Basaksehir.
United now head into this weekend's fixture against Everton in need of a victory ahead of the two-week international break.
Defeat could see them drop as low as 17th in the table, although they could only climb as high as 12th with a win.
Solskjaer earned high praise for his side's strong second half of the season last year.

The signing of Bruno Fernandes proved to be a masterstroke and there was plenty of optimism about United's chances to progress this season.
But they've won just two of their opening six league games with Pochettino seemingly closer than ever to replacing the Norwegian coach.
It was reported on Thursday that United officials had made contact with Pochettino's representatives amid their poor recent form.
Solskjaer is still said to have the full support of the United board, but it's clear they're already beginning to make contingency plans.

Pochettino's appearance on Sky Sports' Monday Night Football also appeared to act as a reminder of his readiness to return to management sooner rather than later.
And the Daily Mail claim there would be 'significant' support from United players should they choose to bring in Pochettino.
But United will need to act fast if they're serious about their interest in Pochettino.
The report goes on to say the former Tottenham boss has already held conversations with at least one other club in recent weeks.
And Pochettino is clearly ready for a return to management, almost a year after being replaced by Jose Mourinho at Tottenham.
“I’m always ready to be involved in the game,” Pochettino said on Sky Sports this week.
“I love football. It’s my passion, not my job. It’s not a stress when you are working.
“It’s not a stress when you are going into the training ground, it’s not a stress to prepare a team to play.
“I’m looking forward to being involved in the game.”
But United may have to move quickly with Pochettino likely to attract interest from other European clubs.
There have been ongoing rumours linking him with both Real Madrid and PSG.
