Leeds United handed major boost as new Kalvin Phillips injury return date emerges
England international Kalvin Phillips is currently on the sidelines with a shoulder injury, which he picked up, in Leeds' defeat to Wolves
Leeds United: Kalvin Phillips injury update provided by Bielsa
Leeds United have been boosted by the news that Kalvin Phillips will return to action sooner than initially expected. The England international, 24, suffered a shoulder injury in Leeds' 1-0 defeat to Wolves on Monday night.
It was thought that Phillip's setback, which has left Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa with somewhat of a selection headache, would keep him on the sidelines until December.
However, according to The Athletic, the midfielder's injury is not as bad as feared.
They claim Leeds are expected to welcome Phillips back to the first team for their clash with Arsenal, which is tentatively scheduled to take place on November 21.
Phillips is, however, expected to miss Leeds' next three fixtures, which will see them take on Aston Villa, Leicester City, Crystal Palace.

Bielsa lamented Phillip's injury immediately after his troops came up short against Nuno Espirito Santo's men, saying: “An injury is always uncomfortable, it always comes at an inopportune time.
"What you say is true, it comes at a moment that is very special for Kalvin.”
He added: “I didn’t have the definitive amount of time that Phillips was going to be out for. I understand that the information is incorrect.
“It’s not defined how long he will be out for. It could be more or it could be less. The one who will play in his place will be Pascal [Struijk].”

Defeat to Wolves was Leeds' second of the season and left Bielsa ruing his side's missed chances.
“In the first half we should have established a difference, in the second half it was more even," the Argentine told BBC.
“We had the sensation that we could unbalance them. We created enough opportunities to establish a lead.
“I don’t think they were better than us but they neutralised our game better.
"The game was very hard, very physical and there was a lot of interruptions. Every game you have opportunities to generate corrections.”
Phillips reflected on his and Leeds' setback earlier this week, writing on Instagram: "Tough one to take but proud of our performance as a team.
"We dust ourselves down and go again. Unfortunately during last night's match, I suffered a shoulder injury which will leave me out for a few weeks.
"Luckily I won’t be needing surgery and have already started my rehab so looking forward to getting back on the pitch as soon as possible."
