Jose Mourinho escaped a yellow card after he accidentally entered the field of play during a Newcastle counter-attack in the second half of Tottenham's clash with the Magpies. As forward Joelinton broke down the touchline, the Tottenham boss appeared to step on the field, right by the Brazilian who continued to dribble up the field.
The incident was quickly spotted by the eagle-eyed Jamie Carragher during commentary.
He said on Sky Sports: "Jose was on the pitch then, I thought he was going to tackle Joelinton.
"He was screaming at Doherty to get back when he lost the ball.
"He's now getting a telling off. He was always going to fill in for the full back there see.

"He stopped himself getting a yellow card there with the apology, thought it could come out."
Mourinho was given a telling off by Mike Dean but that only tells half the story of what was about to happen.
In added time, Newcastle were awarded a penalty for a handball from Eric Dier after a VAR check.
The Spurs boss was so disgusted with the decision, that he stormed off down the tunnel as Callum Wilson equalised.
