Arsenal tipped to make £50m bid for Dele Alli with Tottenham future unclear
Arsenal are reportedly in the market for a midfielder this summer.
Tottenham: Jose Mourinho discusses Dele Alli’s absence
Arsenal icon Ray Parlour wants to see his former club make an offer to sign Dele Alli from rivals Tottenham. The Gunners are looking to do more business in the transfer window before the October 5 deadline.
A midfielder is seemingly their priority, with both Thomas Partey and Houssem Aouar said to be their top targets.
Both midfielders offer something different with Partey providing cover in front of the defence while Aouar is more attack-minded.
The Atletico Madrid midfielder would come slightly cheaper due to his £45million release clause.
But Parlour believes Arsenal are more in need of signing someone capable of joining the attack.

Lyon have indicated it would take a sizeable fee for them to consider selling Aouar.
Chelsea's Jorginho has also emerged as possible target, however Parlour has someone else in mind.
Transfers between the great north London rivals are few and far between and Parlour admits there would be "uproar".
But he would love to see his former club test Tottenham's resolve with an offer to sign Alli.

"I think he'll be more of a fit than Jorginho," he said on talkSPORT.
"I've always said they're lacking goals from midfield.
"I don't think Spurs would sell Dele Alli to Arsenal.
"There'd be uproar in the Spurs fans if that happens but he would be a good fit for Arsenal."
He added: "I certainly believe he's got a lot of good years left in him as a player so £50m has got to be the marker.
"They're lacking goals from central midfield areas so he could tick that box especially.
"He does score goals and he can get you 10 goals from midfield if he plays on a regular basis."
